Courses Attendance

  1. Students are required to attend a course on a regular basis, in accordance with its approved schedule. 
  2. Students who attend lectures less than 75% of the total meetings are not allowed to join Final Exam (UAS) of that course.
  3. Number of attendance is counted from First Registration of Study Plan (PRS 1).

Registration

  1. Students are required to register for all courses, including thesis writing.
  2. Registration of Study Plan (PRS) is held at the beginning of every semester. The registration schedule is set by the University.
  3. There are three stages of the registration of study plan (PRS): PRS-1, PRS-2, and PRS-3.

               PRS - 1 for registration of courses
               PRS - 2 for addition and cancellation
               PRS - 3 only for cancellation.

Study Leave 

  1. Study leave can be taken for 1 semester. 
  2. Students are allowed to take study leave 2 times at most. 
  3. Students are not allowed to take study leave if they obtain less than 1.5 for their GPA in the last 3 semesters.
  4. Students on study leave are not allowed to take a course.
  5. Study leave is not counted in the study limit.

 

Study Continuation 

  1. After a study leave, students are allowed to do academic activities with the same academic status prior to their leave. 
  2. The academic status of readmitting students is determined by the Department. 
  3. Students who have failed a course are encouraged to retake it immediately. 
  4. Transfer students from other departments at PCU are required to take courses which they have not taken in their former departments and to follow requirements of the current curriculum.
  5. The Department may accept transfer students from other universities so long they come from similar departments with at least the same accreditation status. Possibility of credit transfer is decided by the Department. Transfer students are required to follow requirements of the current curriculum.

 

Study Deadline 

  1. Students are allowed to study for a maximum of 14 semesters.
  2. Study leave (maximum 2 semesters) is not counted in the study deadline.
  3. Stages of credits and GPA :

  4. In semester 3, 6, and 10, students who do not comply with the above academic requirement will be given a warning or advised to move to other departments. If they do not comply with the academic regulation in semester 4, 8, and 14, they will be dropped out (DO).

Assessment

  1. Assessment is conducted through Midterm Examination (UTS), Final Examination (UAS), and other evaluation forms such as small tests, group work, projects, etc.
  2. Assessment is conducted openly; grading policy is announced in advance; and students' work is returned.
  3. Cheating in exams may result in disqualification of related courses.
  4. The Department does not provide follow-up exams / special exams for any reason.
  5. Evaluation system is carried out on a semester basis (six months).
  6. Final grade of each course is based on the overall value achieved during that semester.
  7. Grading policy for each examination/test is determined by the teacher of the course and is announced at the beginning of each semester.
  8. Grade points are assigned to all grades and some symbols as listed in the following tables. Grade point averages are calculated by totaling the number of grade points earned, then dividing that total by the number of credits carried toward the GPA.
