Thesis & Graduation

Thesis

1. Students can submit their thesis proposal if they have:

a. Obtained at least 130 credits.

b. Passed all Skill Courses.

c. Passed Research Method & Seminar courses.

2. Every thesis proposal (accompanied by a copy of KHS/KRS showing completion of Research Method & Seminar courses and all skill courses) will be examined by a team of examiners in a proposal defense.

3. Students may submit two names for their thesis supervisors, but decision is on the thesis coordinator.

4. Students will have to do a progress report during the midterm exam before the same team of examiners as in the proposal defense.

5. Thesis advisors reserve the right to decide whether or not a thesis draft is qualified for a thesis defense.

6. The success upon thesis examination is decided by the same team of examiners. Students must make a revision based on the inputs from the team. The revision approved by the team is submitted to the Department and the Library no later than 30 days from the day of the defense or one week before the Judicium. If the revision is not submitted in accordance with the rules, the students will be scheduled for reexamination.

Graduation

1. Judicium means students have no more courses to take and have obtained at least 36.8 for their student-activity points. Judicium is performed twice a semester.

2. Students are considered ‘pass’ or ‘graduate’ if they have completed 144 credits.
